Leif Kertis – Entrepreneur, Community Leader, and Devoted Man of God

Leif Kertis is a successful entrepreneur, dedicated community leader, and a devoted man of God who strives to live his life through Colossians 3:17:
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

He currently owns Floor Coverings International, along with two other local businesses. With extensive experience in business development and corporate finance, he has managed a $250 million-dollar budget for a $2.3 billion-dollar company, showcasing his expertise in financial stewardship, strategic growth, and operational efficiency.

A graduate of West Texas A&M University, Kertis holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice-Administration, an MBA in General Business, and an M.S. in Finance and Economics. Furthering his commitment to faith-based leadership, he is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Denver Seminary.

Faith is at the core of everything Kertis does. As a devoted follower of Christ, he actively serves through First Baptist Church, teaching financial responsibility and life skills to soon-to-be-released prisoners, helping them successfully reintegrate into society. His heart for service extends across multiple nonprofit organizations, reinforcing his mission to make Amarillo a stronger, more prosperous community.

Kertis is a dedicated father to his daughter, Bailee, whom he is raising with the same values of faith, integrity, and hard work that guide his personal and professional life. These values were deeply instilled in him by his parents, Michael and Eunice Kertis, who exemplified the importance of faith, perseverance, and servant leadership.

With a unique blend of business acumen, financial expertise, and a servant’s heart, Kertis continues to lead with integrity, vision, and an unwavering commitment to God, his family, and his community—striving to honor the Lord in all he does.
